July heated up for our brokers, and one of our largest done deals during the month was completed by Michael Randman and Anne Michaels (SCLS). They represented Second Street, LLC in the sale of The Shoppes of Pell City located in Pell City, Alabama. The 58,332 SF shopping center, which had been recently redeveloped and retenanted with a Goody’s, Badcock Furniture and Burke’s Outlet, was purchased for $3.225 million. David Ashford, CCIM represented the landlord in a lease renewal of 2,020 SF to Utopia Cleaners at Country Club Park in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Ashford also represented the landlord in a lease extension to Johnny’s Restaurant at 2902 18th Street in Homewood, Alabama. Ashford and Andrew Loveman, CCIM represented the landlord in the leasing of 3,374 to Legion Printing on Lorna Road in Birmingham, Alabama. Ashford also represented Stella Blu in the renewal of 1,128 SF in Mountain Brook Village in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Greg Despinakis represented the landlord.
Tyler Bradford represented McDonald’s in the leasing of approximately two acres on Highway 14 in Prattville, Alabama. The site is currently under construction and the restaurant is expected to open later this summer.

Marcus Bruchis, SCLS represented Rainbow Apparel in the leasing of 7,262 SF at Gateway Shopping Center in Columbus, Mississippi and 9,600 SF at High Point Marketplace in High Point, North Carolina. Bruchis also represented Rainbow Apparel in the leasing of 10,270 SF at Village Hills Shopping Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Rich Vanchina, CCIM, SIOR represented the landlord in this transaction.
